Two decades after it warmed hearts around the world, THE HOLIDAY returns to theaters on December 11, 2026, inviting audiences to rediscover the romance, laughter, and Christmas magic that made this beloved film a holiday classic.
When heartbreak leaves two women desperate for a fresh start, an unexpected home exchange offers the perfect escape. Amanda, a successful Los Angeles woman played by Cameron Diaz, trades her glamorous California lifestyle for a cozy cottage in the English countryside. Meanwhile, Iris, portrayed by Kate Winslet, leaves behind her familiar surroundings in England for the sunshine and luxury of Southern California.
Neither expects the journey to change her life. But sometimes, stepping away from everything familiar is exactly what the heart needs.
In snowy England, Amanda finds herself drawn to Graham, the charming and unexpectedly vulnerable man played by Jude Law. Across the ocean, Iris begins rebuilding her confidence and discovers an unexpected connection with Miles, the warmhearted composer brought to life by Jack Black. Through awkward encounters, heartfelt conversations, and moments of irresistible comedy, both women begin to understand that love rarely arrives according to plan.
As Christmas lights sparkle and new relationships take shape, the two women discover that a change of scenery can lead to something far more meaningful than an escape: the courage to choose happiness again.
Celebrating its 20th anniversary, THE HOLIDAY returns to the big screen on December 11, bringing back the cozy atmosphere, unforgettable performances, and timeless reminder that it’s never too late for a new beginning.
This Christmas, fall in love with the magic all over again.
