Genre: Adventure | Family | Mystery | Comedy
Starring: Sean Astin, Josh Brolin, Corey Feldman, Ke Huy Quan
Tagline: “The adventure was never finished.”
Synopsis
Decades after discovering the legendary treasure of One-Eyed Willy, the Goonies have grown up. They have families, careers, and responsibilities that seem a world away from the unforgettable adventure that defined their childhood. But just when they believe their greatest mystery is behind them, an unexpected discovery proves that their story is far from over.
Sean Astin returns as Mikey, now a father who has spent years believing that the greatest adventure of his life ended with the discovery of One-Eyed Willy’s treasure. When a mysterious symbol appears on the original treasure map, Mikey reaches out to the friends who once risked everything alongside him.
Brand, played by Josh Brolin, has become a practical adult who struggles to believe that another adventure awaits. Data, portrayed by Ke Huy Quan, has transformed his childhood fascination with gadgets into a remarkable engineering career, while Mouth, played by Corey Feldman, remains the group’s quick-witted, unpredictable troublemaker.
Their reunion takes an extraordinary turn when demolition crews uncover a sealed chamber beneath the coastline near the old Walsh neighborhood. Hidden inside is a second map bearing One-Eyed Willy’s unmistakable mark. But unlike their first discovery, this map doesn’t point toward another treasure.
It leads away from it.
The clues reveal a network of forgotten explorers, secret passages, and a legendary refuge hidden somewhere along the Pacific coast. Before the Goonies can understand the map’s true purpose, their children secretly follow its trail, disappearing into the mysterious coastal wilderness.
With time running out, Mikey, Brand, Data, and Mouth must reunite for one final expedition. Their journey takes them through dangerous sea caves, abandoned tunnels, collapsing coastal ruins, and hidden chambers untouched for centuries. Each discovery brings them closer to their children—and to a secret that could rewrite everything they thought they knew about One-Eyed Willy.
As old friendships are tested and familiar arguments return, the Goonies discover that growing older hasn’t erased the courage, curiosity, and loyalty that once made them unstoppable.
Packed with thrilling discoveries, inventive gadgets, nostalgic humor, and heartfelt family moments, The Goonies 2: One Last Map celebrates the enduring spirit of adventure.
Because sometimes, the greatest treasure isn’t something you find.
It’s the people you never stop fighting for.
Goonies never say die.
